For service businesses on the Front Range

Speed is what's on your customer's mind. Is it on yours?

Local roots, Augmented thinking.

When someone's ready to book, they expect an answer now — not in 30 minutes, not this afternoon. Whoever gets them that answer first gets the job. Nexus & Native builds affordable tools sized for service businesses, from HVAC and med spas to cleaning and landscaping — not enterprise software you'll never fully use.

The phone gets answered the moment it rings. The follow-up happens without you thinking about it. You get the job because you got there first.

The problem

Are you moving at the speed your customers expect?

Speed is on every customer's mind now — they expect information the moment they're thinking about it, not 30 minutes from now, not four hours from now. Booking used to mean calling during business hours and hoping someone answered. That's changed, and it's changed who wins the job.

40–60%

of service bookings now happen outside business hours, whenever the customer is actually ready to reach out

70%+

of customers would rather book or message right away than call and wait on a callback

75%

of homeowners hire the first contractor who actually responds to them

85%

of callers move on without leaving a voicemail — only 15% ever do, so a missed call is usually a lost customer, not a message waiting for you

You didn't start your company to chase your own leads

Someone whose water heater just failed isn't shopping calmly — they want it handled. If they can reach you and hear back fast, they stop looking. If they hit a voicemail and wait, they're already calling the next name on the list. The call you miss on a Tuesday afternoon quietly becomes someone else's job.

Not every call needs a team member

Voice and chat handle the standard stuff on their own — answering common questions, booking a routine appointment, checking on an existing job — the moment the customer reaches out. That leaves the calls that actually land with your team as the ones that genuinely need a person: real emergencies, not questions a script could've answered at midnight.

That's the burden Nexus & Native takes off your plate — here's how.

Why this is happening now

AI made "instant" the new normal — and most small businesses have already made the jump

This isn't a future trend to plan around later. It's already reshaping who gets picked.

89%

of small businesses now use AI in some capacity — up from 36% in 2023

58%

now use generative AI specifically — up from 23% just two years ago

The businesses answering in seconds aren't hiring a bigger team — they're using AI to do it. If you're not yet, the business down the road probably already is.

What we do

We shape the technology to fit your business — not the other way around

No enterprise platform to reorganize your business around, and no rip-and-replace of what you already use. We build around your existing stack, so the disruption is minimal and the learning curve is short — a handful of systems that quietly answer at the speed customers expect, set up to sound like you, every time.

Catch every call

When you can't pick up, the caller gets a text back in seconds — not a voicemail they'll never leave. The conversation keeps going, and the job stays yours.

Follow up on every lead

The proposal you sent last week, the customer still deciding, the client who's due for their next service call — the follow-up happens on its own, on schedule, until you get an answer.

Earn the reviews you've earned

After every job, the right customer gets asked at the right moment — so your reputation online finally matches the work you actually do.

Keep your systems in sync

Your calendar, your customer list, your booking — talking to each other instead of living in three places and somebody's memory.

Always in your corner

We don't disappear after go-live. We check in, tune the systems as your business changes, and keep finding new ways to save you time — for as long as you're a client.

Your number stays your number. Your website stays your website. Your customers stay yours — always. The automations are the only thing you're renting.

How it works

Three steps, no leap of faith

  1. A straight conversation

Thirty minutes, complimentary, no pitch. We talk about your business — where the hours go, where leads slip through. If we can't help, we'll tell you — honestly.

  2. We set it up around you

We build the systems to fit how your shop already runs and how you already talk, then test every path before a single customer touches it. About two hours of your time, total.

  3. We stick around

We don't hand you a login and disappear. We're here, in this community — not just a website you connect with. We watch how it's working, fix what's clunky, and adjust as your business changes. You always have one real person to call — the same one.

About us

Rooted here — not selling from a distance

Local roots, Augmented thinking.

Small business owners in service industries and skilled trades are trapped working in their business instead of on it — answering phones, scheduling appointments, writing proposals, chasing follow-ups. Whether you're a property manager, landscape company, realtor, HVAC contractor, med spa owner, or roofer, you're struggling to find and retain good people, and watching larger competitors use tools that have always felt out of reach: too expensive, too complicated, too disconnected from how you actually work.

Nexus & Native was founded in Parker, Colorado, and we're embedded in the same market you operate in — not a distant vendor logging in from another time zone. Our commitment is to the businesses and people in this community, not to scale at the expense of the relationship. We believe our community deserves businesses that can actually fit its needs — and that the businesses in it deserve access to the same tools the "big guys" have.

That's what the name means. Nexus is the connection point between the tools you need and the business you're building. Native means we're rooted right here, alongside you.

Meet the founder

Merrill

Photo coming soon

This started on a Saturday afternoon, when sewer water backed up into our unfinished basement. I called eight plumbers. Not one called back until Tuesday — and Monday wasn't even a holiday. We ended up at the rental counter at Home Depot and handled it ourselves.

Not long after, our second-floor HVAC system went out. It wasn't a true emergency, but I wanted it scheduled as soon as possible — ideally Monday, once offices opened back up. I went with the one company that let me pick a specific date and time, then called me back first thing Monday morning. 8:09 a.m. I checked.

That's the gap Nexus & Native exists to close. Our local service companies deserve the tools to show up like that, no matter their size — and our friends and neighbors in this community deserve businesses that can meet their needs, effectively and on time.

— Merrill

Merrill brings twenty years working alongside distributors, engineers, and skilled-trade contractors across the Front Range — grounded in real projects and real people building sustainable businesses. Her foundation runs deeper still: her father and grandfather both built their livelihoods in the trades.

Her career spans Mitsubishi Electric, Marley Engineered Products, and Eaton — bringing new technology to market, supporting contractors in the field, and driving adoption across competitive industries.

That experience taught her three things: owners are drowning in operational work they've never had tools built for; keeping great people is harder than ever, largely because good people get stuck doing repetitive, low-value work; and the right tools at the right pace unlock a real advantage for the businesses willing to move first.

Nexus & Native is built on that understanding: knowing your world, respecting your constraints, and partnering with you — not selling to you.

You don't need to become a tech company. You need to not be the slowest one.

89% of small businesses have already made the jump. Thirty minutes, no pitch — we'll tell you honestly where you stand and what closing the gap looks like.
